Whatever you think about Sarandon’s politics (I for one am in full support) you have to admit she looks phenomenal.
Okay, I’ll admit it: I clicked here for the cleavage and out of curiousity as to what the story would be.
I feel like this speculative article speaks to the exact reason they didn’t want the media involved. The media has a pretty piss-poor history of reporting correctly on science. Combine it with a hotbed topic of fear and misunderstanding like this, and you have a recipe for disaster.
Strangely, journalists were not invited, and attendees were told to keep a tight lip. Which, given the weighty subject matter, is obvious cause for concern.

I don’t think anyone really understands that this scientific direction is literally the only way we will survive as a species. Period. Full stop.
