Three things:

With the new share everything plans, you can tether all you want as long as you do not go over data caps. Tethering is allowed. I can hardly see someone using much more than 6GB data, unless you are using your phone as your primary connection. I have 5 phones using the 4gb plan, I use Skype, listen to streaming

After being stuck in the Netgear WNDR3700 nightmare for months, I finally purchased an ASUS RT-N56u. It is the best router I have had to date. I guess I am going to need to purchase the N66u.

I wish this guide had been available back when I got my Raspberry Pi. I was able to accomplish this using trial and (many) error, this is much more simple.

Vote: ASUS RT-N56U

VOTE: Dreamhost

I am surprised Lifehacker didn't mention "Raspberry Pi", a $25/$35 computer that eats 1080p for breakfast and is the size of a credit card. You can run Fedora (or a few other) Linux distros directly from an SD card, throw XBMC on it, and poof, instant, low power consuming media center. I believe that the folks over

I love this app, but as is said below, the widget is a deal breaker for me. I need a better homescreen widget. I use the Beautiful widgets Superclock. If 1Weather improves it's widget(s), then I will easily switch.

I still IM regularly. I am a long time fan and user of Trillian, and have it running at all times. I still have and use a 5 digit UIN from ICQ if anyone remembers what that means. IM is here to stay, and very useful.

Hi John! Thanks for letting me beta test your switcher over the years. Your free software excels over ALL commercial or shareware applications of it's type. I always get a little thrill when I receive your beta testing emails and when the icon in my tray notifies me of updates. PLEASE keep up the good work!

Correction: They have not been pulled, they have been "Shelved" for now and will be revisited. This means that at a later time, after all our furor has quieted down, they will sneak them in under the radar.

I have been using Plex for a while, and find it the easiest solution for my Android phone. Orb has gone downhill quite a bit in the past year, and it is hit/miss for streaming video to an Android device, although Orb is the only one that works with a PS3 when trying to just shuffle through 13,000+ songs.

Nope. I find that the folks who do this anymore are the folks that need to let people know they went to Black Friday, and love to complain about it as a trendy sort of Holiday thing.

My wife, my kids and I as Zombies. Happy Halloween!

Roku and Roku2 are my methods of choice. PlayOn is a has been and complete garbage that profits from the content of others without the copyright holders' permission. Roku has licensing agreements and is above board, a one-time purchase unless you choose to subscribe to channels that charge, and it is the best legal

I actually just took this screenshot for an article over at donationcoder.com about CNet's lovely new money making sche...scam.

I can see, by the comments, that this was not the appropriate place to publish this article. Welcome to the iDiocracy.

Yep, we are still stuck on Froyo. I am not to worried about it though. I like my phone rooted. Not sure Gingerbreak and handle 2.3.3 or whatever.

Downloaded, installed, working perfectly. Rooted Droid X2 running 2.2 Froyo.
