This is a big reason we bought our F56. It trades a bit of the British weirdness but becomes a BMW hot hatch with a funny face, which we liked a lot. I definitely think it’s one of those “you get it or you don’t” brands, more so than a lot of others.

1976 Plymouth Volare. I bought the car new with, at least 100 defects. The four-speed manual transmission was assembled with part of the linkage upside down so that the shift sequence was 1-2-4-3. By 40,000 miles, the transmission had been replaced once and needed to be replaced again, ad nauseum.
