Even though I haven't had a Sony gaming system in years, I backed this since it was one of my favs on PS2, and also because of the following:

It's permanently PlayStation exclusive.

The Twitch stream right now is fun as hell.

Unfortunately it won't be released on PC or 360. I was just reading the kickstarter page and apparently Sony still owns the IP so it has to be PS3/4/Vita exclusive. :'(

Great, I'm glad to hear it! I never played the first so I didn't contribute, but I will look forward to playing this game. I loved all of Harmonix's plastic instrument-based rhythm games and I'm happy for them that they get to make their dream game.

Adding network features beyond leaderboards is a lot of work. Seems like a reasonable amount to me.
