More like trying to take advantage of the terrible ways some games have gone just to stay afloat. It really is sad that music games were just seen as a "fad" and they aren't big any more. I hope Amplitude gets made to pave a path towards more beat match games from Harmomix.

After this year it will die down because of Persona 5. I think then, they'll start delving into new stuff and after 4 years P5 will start being milked. I love the milk though, so I'm not complaining.

Wow, I can't believe they didn't even change or enhance the event CGs from the first game. At least the walking backgrounds are more substantial, but you'd think they would add more story stuff. I guess it really doesn't matter if all the buyers are transferring their old saves...

So they cut out part of the game, made it DLC, but make the base game cheaper than normal. So when we buy it off eBay for $10 in a year, Nintendo will steal get some $$$ if we buy the season pass.
