Most of the Flash’s characteristics today is basically based on the work of Mark Waid’s version of Wally West. Beforehand, Barry was a rather bland character.

I know this has nothing to do with the industry, but isn’t it a huge slap in the face that DC is bringing a film Flash when the TV show is doing so goddamn well (and better than anything DC plans, themselves). Why they don’t just give up and go all-TV is beyond me. These films will bomb because of their approach to…
If they’re determined to make a Flash movie, that would be their best course of action. Phil Lord’s comments sound a bit... nervous? The TV show has proven to be pretty popular with the core audience of this genre, and there will inevitably be comparisons between the show and any movie based on the same character. The…
I always get a spike of fear anytime someone says they want to do a different take on a superhero....I instantly think “Fantastic Four” :P I love the show... Grant IS the Flash. They are going to need to do something pretty epic and close to the comics to make me like the film more than the show.
Starting to wonder if the DCCU folks and the folks making Fantastic Four are one and the same
So, I JUST finished watching The Flash finale, and without risking spoilers, allI can say is I have zero interest — at this particular moment — in seeing any other incarnation, even a big budget Hollywood spectacular.
Man! Last night’s episode was SOOOO good. I don’t remember enjoying a network hour-long, that much, in years.
Well, Phil Lord really won’t have to worry about making their Flash different for the only reason that theirs can’t possibly have a fraction of the charisma that Grant Gustin has. Seriously, the guy can have amazing chemistry with anyone. ANYONE. Heck, you could put him next to a mic stand and within five minutes you…
I think you guys will like it, it’s kind of a different take on superhero stuff.
It’s going to be hard for me to want to see the Flash movie after the attachment I now have for the show. Not to dis Phil Lord by any means, he’s reached pretty much cult status for me at this point. I wish they would at least let Grant Gustin be Barry Allen and let the new guy be one of the different Flash characters.
THIS.
(Flash movie) I think you guys will like it, it’s kind of a different take on superhero stuff.
The DC movie universe has enough to overcome competing against Marvel, does it really need to compete against itself as well. For heavens sake you have a good thing going on TV with the Flash, don’t undermine it with a confusing unconnected yet same character movie. just make the movie Wally West or something and move…
That’s not a very reassuring comment about The Flash movie version. It doesn’t give me confidence that they have much of a clue.

acknowledging that the character eventually becomes a villain (and a cyborg incarnation of Superman):
And here I was thinking it was a Minnie Pearl cult.
Not allowed in Cannes premieres.
Yes, the exact thing that made The New 52 a steaming pile of bore...
I’ll disagree with you on this one - I think the Crisis on Infinite Earths was one of the better ‘reset buttons’ that we’ve seen hit. It cleaned up a lot of the ‘Super-dickery’ that was prone to occur in the previous eras with Superman’s sidekicks. It made me like the Lois and Clark pairing, since Lois became a real…
