We’re staring down 10-12" of snow in the next 24 hours, and “I wish I had 4WD” is not even a thought that enters my head, but “I’m glad I bought snow tires” is. Also, “I’m glad my car still has a manual hand-brake.”

Even on WiFi, using Safari and going on Jalopnik is impossible, the site literally freezes up. Brave makes it better, but it breaks comments.
Yes to both arguments!
I was 16 when this turd hit the market, and I H-H-H-HATED them. Just wrong in so many ways, especially when the vastly more cool Gremlin was available for your American Motors fix. Now approaching geezer-hood, I find them quirky and endearing, kind of like a Nissan Juke. Nostalgic and irrational;
It’s a simple idea, and renting instead of owning is the way to go here. I know several people with Zoes and they’re all happy with them.
I thought those wings were absurd until I saw it with the bikes!!
You don’t even have to do that. Just look for a bike away from large population centers. I picked up a 2 year old mountain bike for $200 because the guy never rode it and it was taking up space in his garage. Learn from your experiences with your Baja Bug. Buy a solid foundation and go from there.
As a shadetree bike mechanic who has built a few dozen bikes, and maintains a hodgepodge assortment of 10(ish) vintage bikes at any given time, I dig this post.
You’re not alone. There are a few of us here. When we were in our early 20's it was a badge of honor when the bike on the roof of your car cost more than the car.
Only if you whine about how it has to have a manual or it’s worthless.
It even has brown wheels. This is pretty much a manual transmission away from Jalop perfection. I’m surprised it doesn’t come with a manual at least in Europe, but maybe I shouldn’t be.
Obviously intended for the Boston trade show.
If there’s one maker that’s not afraid to add some more dents/creases to make it work, it’s Honda!
What in the fuck did I just watch
Those crazy #Brands! What won’t they do?
I take it by 1982 they had nixed the “spaceship” option.
