For those complaining about being unable to get a refund, perhaps a call to the CPSC would help. According to their recall page, a refund is an option. I’ve dealt with recalls before and I don’t think when it comes to something like this a carrier or manufacturer can FORCE you to get an exchange. They can be jerks

Thanks. That is what I was thinking of.

I am thinking the Porsche might be one of them. Didn’t that year have a bad bearing or something that was major $$$ to replace?

Congrats on digging yourself out of that hole!

I’d consider going one step further. Build an emergency fund (3-6 months of expenses, depending on how stable your job situation is) and cut up that last credit card. The last thing you want to do in an emergency is go into debt. It can start the spiral all over again.

Yeah, it is confusing the way the articles are coming out. I think most (all?) carriers will offer a refund for the difference in price and for any Note 7 accessories you may have purchased, but the phone itself is just an exchange for something else.

how do you change the theme of the terminal? I hate the black on white Notepad look mine has.

what evidence do you have that creditors look at bill payment? They look at credit scores, and credit scores don’t factor in bill payment, and debit cards have no evidence of credit worthiness as there is no credit involved.

There needs to be a massive infochart/flowchart on checking credit and then what the next step is and when. It isn’t as simple as it should be. There are a lot of good articles out there on it, including Lifehacker, but piecing them together when you really need it is like putting a puzzle together and the pieces are

How does a prepaid debit card help build credit? I understand how a prepaid credit card can, but not prepaid debit. Prepaid debit is like a preloaded gift card.

No it doesn’t. Utility companies, Homeowner association companies, insurance companies, rentals, phone companies, etc. don’t report to credit scores. These can only negatively affect your credit if you stop paying and they turn it over to a collection agency.

No. I’m demonstrating an ability to only buy what I can afford and not borrow money. This is what the credit score ignores. They only want to reward you for borrowing money.

So when enabling my Watch to unlock my Macbook, I had to disable iCloud’s two step authentication where it sent a 4 digit code to my phone and enable two factor authentication where it sent a 6 digit code to my phone.

His articles/editorials in Car & Driver in the 80's are the reason I love cars so much today.

Amazon just continues to make Prime a great value.

Between 3 and 6 months after whenever the carriers decide to fool with it, or not.

Because he/she doesn’t borrow enough to make the credit scorers happy. I’ve done several things this year:

It doesn’t ever mean you are financially healthy. They can both be coincidentally high, but all a credit score shows is you can borrow and pay back money and it has nothing to do with your spending habits or net worth, or lack thereof.

They do at idle. Like crazy. But blip the throttle and it smooths right out. My Road King shakes like crazy at the light, but if I give it a little gas, it smooths right out. Part of the charm. At speed, smooth as glass.

Ugh. They need someone to mentor them on taking a hint. Sorry you got sucked into that. :-(
