Ha! No Sunless Sea? The zee is way scarier than most of these games. I really didn't expect a text based game and sluggish controls to be scary. When you get absorbed and start suspending your disbelief, it is freaky.

So Slipstream is Magical Realism but with Sci-fi instead of fantasy?

I have to admit, that my first thought was that this is magical realism. However, let the authors call it whatever they want. If more Skellig or Stig of the Dump is on the way, I say:
