Oh shit, I adore the thought of it being a thing with middle-schoolers lolol. That’s so awesome.

This is so freaking true...ugh. The show went from some of the most brilliant female cast members ever, with such good material, to - well, I kinda hate to even mention any names of female performers who immediately followed. But...to go from that height to literally some of the worst ever, *cough* Jan Brady....it was…
I am so thrilled at the nod to Jan Hooks’ Bette Davis Video Will. It’s literally one of my favorite things ever, not just from SNL. I still regularly think things like “WALLACE. Beery. Sent me a DEAD. OWL!!” and “I FELL OUT. OF! My chair.”
I’m sorry, but charging more per ticket simply based on a movie’s length is equating worth with length/quantity, at least on the surface.
ALSO, it happened to be someone i knew and haaaaated. Because he was such an intolerable asshole, and thought he was so funny. It was very considerate of him to have put that right on his resume, I thought, so I didn’t have to try to seem reasonable when I just wanted to scream “Oh nononono, not HIM!”
Oh...it was an immediate veto. One for the immediate “no” pile.
Ideally, they would be able to tell you the start time of the feature. I mean, you know for sure they have it. But they can be cagy about giving it because they don’t want the advertisers to squawk. Ben Mankiewicz either, I guess.
Oh...that seems like the worst take, assigning a movie’s worth based on its quantity.
This is a GREAT thing about reserved seats, otoh. You can plan to be fifteen minutes late, get the seat you want, and miss most of the bs. Though you sometimes have to kick squatters out of the seats you have reserved.
The last remaining “Second-run” theater in my city just closed. I’m seriously, legitimately, deeply sad about it. Partly because I remember when it was built and first opened, 30 years ago, I guess. But it was such an invaluable resource for me...
Also, at least here in my town, AMC prices are lower than all the other movie theater chains around. Prices do go up, you know...as we’re being reminded now.
Do you think he puts that on his resume? We received a resume once from a fellow who listed “Sarcasm” under “Languages Spoken”. Seriously. So much no.
I don’t have Peacock, or whatever paid NBC service may be showing this. I just may dig out my tv antenna, which I bought last year but never used, to watch this old-school.
I remember when it came out but we weren’t a sports family at all, and it just kinda disappeared down the memory hole. But I just looked it up and, a team made up of Pisceans? I’m seriously thinking of seeing it now.
Know who liked that one film? My cat. He was crazy about it.
It is the weakest at being a good film! It really is - by the end, the narrative falls apart into just a bunch of awesome scenes happening for some reason in no order. It’s the best at being what it is, though! Which is...what it is.
Not reading every response before I ask, though I did double-check the date on the article first: You sure “Batman” was 25 years ago???
Yeah, I didn’t mind WHAT he was doing, I kind of rolled my eyes but didn’t mind that Bruce was having a little fun with it, but I definitely thought “Yeah but...a compact disc???”
You can’t blame her, I mean she did go to Oxbridge.
“Yeah, because he’s too much of a candyass to kill them!”
