Hehe my only real response to all this discussion was “She???”.

I wished I’d watched the series finale of “Newhart”, which imo compared so badly to “The Bob Newhart Show” that I’d stopped watching it .years before

Jill St. John? So...not Bond girl material. Not coincidentally, first American BG as well, right?

There was a fine opening sequence! Probably just as well they didn’t film anything more after that.

Hell yeah. Ugh.

“Diamonds Are Forever” is a least-favorite of mine, I really don’t like anything about it. But by FAR it’s a favorite Bond song and opening sequence.

Volume means success maybe?

Any idea why the first time I heard it on the radio I thought it was Ween?

I missed it in theatres but when I watched it on streaming I sincerely regretted that. It was just fantastic, one of the best movies I’d seen in a long time.

How many more of these old white guy morality plays do we have to watch?

I love the original movie, but there are so many elements that have always been problematic: the unconvincing “gang” members, but even more so the really appalling Puerto Rican accents and makeup (the casting of the Puerto Rican characters in general), the noticeable dubbing of Natalie Wood as Maria, etc. These

I remember Andrea Lovell Hall. Hope was killed in a car crash and came back quite a bit later as a different actress, right?

John and Marlena? What happened to Don and Marlena?

And yes, as someone said who is greyed out so I can’t reply, “You Know My Name” is the best Bond song. As soon as the opening credits started, and the song had those Bond-ian horn flourishes (unlike the single), my heart started to pound with excitement - “Oh my god, this is...this is SO GOOD!!!!” And the animation

I started watching it last night, thanks for the recommendation!

Charles Pierce did a comedy special for Playboy Channel in the mid-eighties. All the characters, Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn, etc. He was hilaaaarious. I still remember a lot of his jokes vividly. My favorite, Bette Davis:

Same. Just no interest in another cynical Disney updates of their properties. But then I started reading advance word and thought, hmmm, these are awfully positive, all of them. That combined with always looking for things the bf and I may enjoy together, I thought why not? And was just utterly floored by how much I

I pretty much immediately felt that “Casino Royale” was the best, but I didn’t really want to commit to that for awhile. I mean, was I just relieved that it was so good, after so long without one being really really good? Was it really the best?

BUTTER fat content, to the fellow I can’t reply to or see who pointed out that fat source matters too.

Fat content. That’s the difference in flavor between “soft-serve” and “ice cream”.
