What a joke ... if you want to disable Buzz you have to be willing to delete your Google Profile. That's not even close to a logical compromise. Screw you Google.

The default iPhone app is horrendous, and using the Gmail web app is so clunky that it also ends up being annoying. I hope Google finally makes a native Gmail app that is similar to the amazing Android app.

it's just stored in a cookie is it not? That means the page is only available on the specific computer — I'd like to see an option to create an account and then bookmark that such as [fav4.org]

@daveabrock: MILLIONS of people still use AIM.

Wouldn't the nightly trunk branch be a better build to test/play with?

Wow, well done Google.

"eliminate noise" ? ... yeah right Google. All you did was create more noise in my inbox. This is basically Google Wave (a noisy nightmare) + a few 1 way social networks.

@marythegr8: I was going this originally before I "officially" got into Buzz. If you used it on the iPhone before having Gmail access it was dumping all the emails right into your inbox. This isn't really needed once you get Gmail access though.

keep in mind: you can't create a label called Buzz in Gmail ...it's a reserved label (duh). I just created a label called gBuzz and dump all the Buzz crap into that folder using subject = Buzz from *

people actually still use Google Wave?

they better include Facebook and Twitter...otherwise it's going to be pretty useless with just YouTube and Picasa.

@tablespork: ...so I hear. I didn't even notice the difference as I still had the extension installed.

Relative tabs (which is how Chrome and IE8 handles tabs by default) is a much more logical way of handling tabs in my opinion. The "relative tabs" extension for Firefox is incredibly handy for enable this type of functionality actually.

@Hesadanza: it works fine on the 3G ...it's a just a little bit slower.

@Aaron Eaton: tons of problems. Yep. Over at TechCrunch people are saying the same thing.

@VagrantRadio: yes, and this option is completely free. That would be the important difference here.

It works shockingly well — especially considering it's free.

And in my experience virtually none of the userscripts have worked for me. Maybe 1 out of 40 have actually worked as intended.

@se7a7n7: Last.FM is wonderful too. I use a combination of Last.FM, Pandora, Spotify (yes, in the US), and occasionally Slacker.

Yes, because clearly the iPad is more ebook reader than laptop. Apple specifically said this thing was meant to target/kill netbooks. Compare the iPad with netbooks and you'll see an entirely different story. Also of note, virtually all netbooks can run the Kindle app to basically turn them into ebook readers also.
