I hope they keep Postbox free. If they try to charge for it (as the surveys they have been sending out imply) I'll ditch it in a second.

Still not seeing v1.1.1 ... the app store only shows 1.1.0 so we still don't have sound notifications which basically makes this notifications useless (and easy to miss).

@DiscoZombie: I don't want this kind of crap built into the OS. I don't want or need this kind of useless eye candy (that doesn't even look good). I'm glad this isn't built in.

@GraceLS: did you enable reminders? I'm pretty sure they are disabled by default. You need to enable reminders and then make sure "iPhone" (or iPod Touch) is listed under "I want to be reminded by..." at the bottom of the reminders area.

@mrosedal: yeah, that's really not that drastic at all. Health care is probably more a result of the different state-wide policies between MA and NY. MA has a much more affordable state-wide health case policy when compared to NY.

@OmniZero: I just moved to NYC (Brooklyn) from Rochester a couple of months ago. Rochester is much more affordable at least!

Are you from Rochester? Or was that just purely a coincidence? I'm originally from Rochester myself.

@ZalmanFeardie: It uses the same file format as Office 2007 (docx, xlsx, pptx, etc). Also, you can set it to save into 2003 format by default anyway...so compatibility isn't really a big issue/concern.

@PapaGamer: I didn't where they specified which version you get for free. Also, who really cares? If you're anything like me you use Office every single day anyway... no reason not to potentially get a free copy of Office 2010 out of it at the same time.

@Arjun Balaji: this disables and replaces Windows defender entirely.

@brodie7838: are you kidding me? If Microsoft had it's way I'm sure this would be built into Windows. The EU would throw yet another hissy fit for sure.

just as an FYI ...this is based on Forefront — their corporate/server antivirus product. They actually both use the exact same AV definitions.

awesome ... worth a try, but I don't know if running custom themes is really worth a constantly running service.

so typical of Apple — why are you screwing your past customers over with your new firmware? It's not like the 3G is technologically incapable of displaying the battery percentage. This is just an example of how desperate Apple is to push the 3G S because of it's lacking feature set.

Winterboard themes

wow...yeah, never knew about that. That's pretty handy/cool.

This annoyed me. Glad I can finally disable it it. Thanks!

Vista Battery Saver works great on Windows 7 by the way. Get the most out of your battery (disables Aero, etc automatically when you unplug).

the iPhone app refused to sync with my account even after I signed in/signed out/signed back in ...it just refused to sync up.

WARNING: the list on his site includes lang:en AND lang:uk ... so that's going to flag messages that are in American English and UK English. I'm pretty sure that's not what most people reading this site want. Just delete those 2 entries from the list and it'll work correctly (for English speakers).
