It’s nowhere near as fast as a Type R. On quite a few tracks, it will be competitive with the current generation Golf R. The Golf R has an acceleration advantage but the N has the grip advantage. Obviously this is stock-for-stock.
I love my N. The car is a total and absolute riot. I highly recommend anyone looking for a fun car to just take one for a test drive to experience it themselves.
