I understood the timeslines but what really confused me was that characters barely age or look different, Queen Calanthe is a grandma on the first episode but she looks exactly the same when we see her again 15 years before when Geralt meets her.

Initially I thought it wasn’t a big deal, but imagine the outcry if you were playing the main character as straight but the DLC made you become gay at the end.

Games are expensive to make, but I feel that most competent company would do the maths and see how much they should spend and still aim to get a profit like pretty much any other industry.
