I’d argue the basic definition of cosplay is simply the act of recreating the appearance/costume of a fictional character. And that the term is all-encompassing, meaning it applies across both amateur and now professional works.

I mean if you look at the poll he included with the tweet, it’s pretty obvious he’s joking around.

Most people do like the movie. It’s a small minority of very loud, very angry nerds who make it seem like there’s a lot of doubt to its quality.

I watch that scene and it baffles me how many people disliked this movie. That fight alone was worth the price of admission. It looks amazing and it’s stunningly filmed. And the best part is it all looks real. It’s none of that CGI hopping fests they the prequels did.

OK, no one is “asking for it” nor should that ever be an excuse for deplorable behavior. However, let’s also not stick our head in the sand and play dumb. Sex sells and, yeah, sometimes streamers are intentionally using that to gain viewers.

Yeah, such an awful show, focusing on a civically-engaged female lead character involved in local politics. What a terrible premise for a show, right?

Two problems with this story (or really one combined major problem):

Does gaming always need to focus on being new and original? Not all gaming needs to be art, and in particular with online gaming it’s sometimes better to focus on refining existing gameplay concepts.
