Do you have older devices connected to that network? Even if you’re connected at 802.11AC speeds, if an older B or G device is connected at the same time it can slow down the whole network by quite a bit (up to 30% in some cases based on the bit of googleing I did)

That's how I felt about it too but I went ahead and took the leap and I am so glad I did. It feels good to me and has all the same things you want from the 3DS. The ONLY thing I regret it not waiting for a 2DS XL because you know it's coming!
