You don't have to sign up. Folks typically post their gamertag which means you can find someone who is gearing up to do something you'd be interested in doing too, then message through on your console. You only need a reddit account if you want to post a "looking for group" message.

I find the fireteams subreddit to be very easy to use to put a good group together. Has your experience been otherwise?
