Was O’dell’s suggestion - to change all of the films, instead of just China’s in order to avoid the press calling them out - intended solely for the Robocop remake, or was he referencing Robocop to make his point about Pixels? (If only because, I may have not seen Pixels, but I did see the “turkey” that was Robocop-201

What year was this? Michael still had Lisa Marie hanging around backstage by the time they were deep enough into production to have Jar Jar’s motion-capture actor cast (and Portman would’ve been anywhere from, what, 11-14 years-old during that marriage)?

I was going to make a joke about the fungus being related to the “Bananas in Pajamas” not washing...said pajamas (no matter how I write that, or how long I stare at it, it sounds/looks wrong). But then I came across, what I think, is the real culprit (it’s Mr. Carswell, the bank President!...No...wait...):

I’d like to see them label which concentric circle the titles fall under as well.

Tennessee and West Virginia got some ‘splainin’ to do! (Seriously, though. - anyone have any ideas why they eat the least?)

I find it hard to believe an author on this site didn’t think of Blade Runner, at least. No, he wants us to solve a mystery.

  • Does Carl’s Jr (well, Hardee’s would be the closer one) still have roast beef?

I’m sticking with them for...at least until one of them gets replaced - if one deserves it - by “Expanse”

Glad to hear it!

Same here...and then it lost me.

Seriously, why not? And if anything’s going to be remade, isn’t the “best” option something that’s over 50 years old, that also changes mediums, going from animation to actors using props on sets, and with the (available) technology to produce something they couldn’t really do live-action, in some cases, at the time

I actually have a question about an industry I worked at around 11 years ago: video stores (*I only remember it was 11 years ago because I remember shrink-wrapping the cases - at the time, about 1/3 of new releases were still VHS!! - of tons of the movie “White Chicks”). I worked at Family Video, which I believe is

“Should have gone with jerk store.”

The impression I’ve been having recently (which I mentioned in Dark Matter’s ep) - that io9 is already bored, or ready to give up on the two new SYFY space shows - was only (slightly) intensified here, if anything. Again, this is based on a general, gut-feeling, but from a quip, regarding poor ratings, in monday’s

  • Good! I was becoming nervous you were already giving up on the show, with two weeks of no recaps and just the title and official synopsis - no added excitement - for the “On TV This Week” monday-posts. (Pair this with this monday’s “On TV...,” the addition to the official synopsis for Killjoys was basically used to

Have they said who the “true enemy” is, in the other mediums (the big titan at the end? it’s not humans, is it?)?

Geez, major brainfart from the first sentence in the EW article: “As the world prepares for the release of Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, the now-legendary tales of Star Wars are being released in a brand new, kid-friendly format”

Well Campbell’s sneaking around was way more distracting - I zoned out for nearly 20 seconds - than if he would’ve just casually walked by.

I like how Henry Simmons immediately clarified his answer when he mentioned why they needed Secret Warriors - as if he wanted to make sure he didn’t offend the “inhuman” next to him.
