No, even in 98 it wasn’t perfect. Even had 30% max mechanical throttle in case the electronic throttle wasn’t ok. Extra fun to do a burnout to 3rd gear w 30%.

Manual jags have been crap for sometime.  Most use the worthless 4+3 vette box that feels like it should be in a dumptruck, not a luxury car.

Either my Evo was special or it wasn’t good here as everything turned off in the cold. Had to drag the brakes down a hill to stop at the bottom. Because 33F and rain. Same year STi didn’t care tires and brakes worked fine. Mind I never set the brakes on fire on the Evo but I did on the STi.

P Zero oem tires are garbage as shown by the mustang. Pilot sports and follow on models are far better oem tires but special models while normal GT’s suffer from garbage tires. 

My trucks Summer tires were snow rated because still soft at 32F and proper self cleaning. Check it as it depends a lot on the construction not the looks.

I didn’t have to mess with the hinges even on the car where I had to open the door at 80mph to get the window to seal after it was down. Mind I had to set the timing belt in a parking lot multiple times that car was such a pile.
