Ford used to have 4wd means off road and awd means on road. They used to have part time awd like the tempo which locks the axles together and a rear lsd standard. Then more modern stuff awd means hydraulic cluches front to rear w open rear lsd.

So a old fulltime 4wd system from the 80s is fine, but this isn’t? And that’s just subaru.
