It was a very fun game, but really tough for me. I’m not terribly good at sbooters myself, but I picked it up because I love roguelikes, and it certainly fills that role well. A lot of the game depends on the pickups you find, because mobility is key and some of the pickups increase speed, jump height, or number of

Interesting. I was gonna poop on it a little for its clear reuse of ToG enemies, but there’s also clearly a lot of new stuff, including some hellacious looking new bosses. I’ll withhold opinion for the moment I think.

It’s probably the best retro game to not have been made 25 years ago

It’s gonna be a shame when this sells a billion copies and vindicates Konami’s decision to become the video game company equivalent of a heel wrestler.

...hurm. on the one hand, the monster hunter universe is wide, own to many stories, and has a wealth of available monsters to work with. Plenty of places this could go.

Saaaa, Tamers and everything that followed it was a sore spot for me, because I hated the way they threw out the old canon. I watched the first two series, and it bothered me a lot to see it all just gone when Tamers came out. I watched through it, but it was the last one I watched.
