True, Elon has done some really shifty stuff.  But unfortunately, they are the only game in town when it comes to EVs with the features and the range I want.  I am truly yearning for the others to catch up and present alternate choices.

I can’t disagree more. My Model 3 is the BEST car I’ve purchased in decades. By no means it is perfect but IMO, it is perfect for my needs. I still have 3 ICE cars in the family to maintain, none of which gets close to the 20k miles/year I put on the Tesla but yet have cost me plenty in maintenance and effort.

I guess it’s similar to a trip to the strip club.  You can watch, touch, if you’re lucky, extended touching.  But THAT’s it.  Now you get to go home or to the partner and fantasize about it.

Exactly my sentiments. I have been watching Tesla for some time before finally deciding on getting one. Imperfect in many aspects but almost perfection for my needs. I’m not fond of Elon but have been singing Tesla’s praises to anyone who would listen. Some of my colleagues have acquiesce and are now happy owners

Fad towards Tesla or EVs in general?  I for one, just could not go back to an ICE.  I have 3 other ICE to maintain and it’s 3 too many.

One night somebody cut out the cat from my retired sister’s CRV which was parked on the street. Without lights, jacks or made any noise. I wonder what the scrap was worth.? It would have been tons cheaper for her if she just left the money on the bumper, tire e.g.

I had a bad backache once. Friend of mine recommends a shiatsu massage place which I went to after work. I did not realize they have both masseuses and masseurs.  So I got a guy instead and it resulted in the most uncomfortable experience because I did not want to embarrass him with a refusal.  Am I homophobic?  I

This. Make it black to hide the lines from those who are not proportion-challenged and drop it by $20k and I MAY consider. Given that most Lambo owners are probably only short-term owners, this may be the purchase for the quick flash, Blvd cruising (only at night), BS-ing, selfie crowd. Actually the perfect car for my

The thing, while gorgeous, is going to stick out of my garage and take up most of the driveway when parked.

Out of the Safety Section of the Twingo brochure, In formation” is an upgrade option to minimize puncture holes and humanoid liquid spillages.

I’m much older and wiser now. However, if I still have the kicks for owning a McLaren or a Ferrari, I would not be opposed to getting one if I can or barely can afford the payments. Else it would be a dream (or nightmare) unfulfilled before I’m incapable of appreciating it. Perhaps after I get it out of my system, I

You kind of wonder why selling a iconic car with low-miles on your own... I would imagine the local (or other) Benz dealer would do better than 50% of their prized model and do a much high sale price of this car with all their Benz fan traffic.

Close to the Maserati Indy as well.

Isn’t it owned by Nissan and don’t they want it back, pink and all?

The first time we visited Europe in the 80s, we went in bold. I had arranged for a car at the Frankfurt airport and arrived to get a brand spanking new Opel Vectra. Finding the car was easy, getting the car in reverse was problematic before I learned how to do it.  Before our first stop at Heidelberg, we were stuck

The worst: you don’t have the time:

Totally agree. After ANY period of driving in other cars, coming back to my BRZ seems heavenly. The seating position is perfection, I can see both front corners of the car and everything is within reach. I may be dillusional but I swear I can mind-thought the car through corners. It really is a fun car without paying

I know a lot of car guys who would make this decision in half a second and I would too. However, a 2-yr old 991 would be about 300% of what I paid for my ‘13 BRZL plus a much large depreciation per mile driven, plus xxx% in maintenance per mile driven and insurance. Not to mention the dread I used to have when owning

IDK as I hate to jinx it but my ‘13 BRZL is a daily driver with 65k and it is a solid workhorse. My car has never been to a dealer and just had its first visit to an Indie shop for the 60k service (I don’t have the setup to swap out those plugs).

Whatever kinship those OEM tires have, I can tell you this. At 65k miles with probably another 5k left before the wear bars were reached, I decided to change them for same-sized Michelins PSS. My daily commute includes freeways and tight narrow canyons and holy smack! the Pilots were far quieter, more comfortable
