Batteries have a much tighter band of temperatures they operate in, so there is an inherent complexity requirement. You can’t just stick a radiator and a fan. This is alleviated, to a degree, in that there is much less heat that you have to get rid of in comparison to a gasoline engine, but you do have to both heat

Now playing

Let’s see the i3 and Bolt run around a track at the hands of Randy Pobst:

Right, based on the WLTP->EPA ratio of the I-Pace, the Ford will have 297 miles of range... right between the 295-mile Model X and the 300-mile Model Y.

Good news, but it’s actually closer to 320 miles range per EPA standards. The 370 is the new largely-European standard called WLTP. Better than nothing though.

I’m curious to see if that might not be the best thing for it. I think a lot of it’s buzz (and stock price) comes from it’s non-normalcy, look at how many outlets seemed disappointed by the Model Y, they didn’t want a slightly inflated Model 3 with a lift kit, they wanted weirder I guess? Their buyers threw a fit when

Yes, Tesla will become a “normal” car company, meaning they’ll follow one of three well established paths:

One might think that taxpayers, as a whole, should understand how the federal budget works and be concerned about the national debt. U.S citizens only care about themselves and their personal freedoms. They do not understand how the country’s economics impact the individual.

You do realize the high standard of living you speak of is largely due to the availability of cheap consumer goods that are one of the the results of increasing globalization and free trade.

Fuck Trump!

reverse: this is why GM needed to lay off workers and shut down plants... everyone who is up at arms about this should remember what happened just a short decade ago when gm DIDN’T bother to read the writing that was on the wall...

I understand how taxes work and I got killed, so my complaint is legitimate.

1st: too bad president shit-for-brains won’t listen to experts since he has a very large a-brain and always knows better than people who dedicate their lives to being subject matter experts....

Neutral: Tariffs only make sense to the sort of Simple Simon-ass motherf$$ker who has no idea how the global economy functions in 2019. “Durr, we block imports to create jobs! Make ‘Murica Great!” Because as we all know, shouting slogans and tweeting nonsense will cause factories and supply chains and logistics to

All I keep hearing is that they’re tasking themselves to build more and more cars than before.

I’ll never own a Tesla but I’m not sure how this is different from every other car company that has the Starting at price of X amount but the dealers never seem to carry the starting base models...., ever so it’s like bait and switch anyways.  Maybe some dealer somewhere or at some expo has one but no one can actually

I was going to say, there’s some very healthy demand for the higher-optioned models.  They can’t build the fuckers fast enough it seems.

There’s no mystery here. Tesla simply wants to build and ship more high-margin products before the end of the quarter. That’s not evil, that’s smart.

Tesla only has a six year lead! Sell your stock now! Also, interesting that the coming Model 3 competitor will be built on the Taycan platform and yet everyone wants to claim Taycan will compete with the much larger Model S sedan.

This has been my problem with the news that every automaker is about to make a “Tesla Killer.” It’s so many years away. 2023? That’s 4 years from now.

Nonsense, they were holding back european and chinese sales due to full tax credit expiring in US. So now they focus on Europe and China.
