Valve had a hand in those but they didn’t actually develop those games. CS:GO was made by Hidden Path and DOTA2 was made by a company called IceFrog for Valve. I’m honestly not even sure if Valve has a game design staff anymore. Not like they tell us anything, right?

Valve is not a game developer anymore. They haven’t released a game developed in-house in how long? Since Portal 2 six years ago? No, they’re now just Steam and a handful of published games developed elsewhere. We all have to stop thinking they are the Valve of 2005.
