I agree with this sentiment 1000%, years ago when I was younger (and perhaps a bit more reckless) I set out on a 6000M journey on a Ducati Monster, which you might recognize as NOT a touring bike, more-or-less on a whim. I started in Kansas City and headed to San Diego, up Highway 1 to Portland then back via Idaho,

I firmly believe that abortion should be legal. But...

Reverse shift patterns were common on classic bikes and are still seen on race bikes. Pushing down to upshift gives more positive engagement when accelerating and pulling up to downshift gives a bit more ground clearance when leaned over in a corner.

Another reason a lot of people chose the likes of Granger in Iowa and Stephens in WV is their transparency. I feel fucking icky after leaving a car lot, whether I bought something or not. The fact that these dealers were willing to go on a message board and have a clear pricing policy without any “well, you know this

Most lawyers, if they have practiced long enough, can tell you stories about encountering these people. The common denominator is that they view the law as a sort of system of magic in which specific words and incantations are given enormous power. Logic, reason, and rationality have nothing to do with it. This is why

umm, no.

Counterpoint:

Is it just me, or does this look more like a Diablo?

This is my kind of pedantry!

I came here to see 1/10th of a bridge. I’m disappointed at the incorrect use of decimated.

Most public bus departments have a rule against bus operators driving in reverse. I’m sure NYC is no different. Obviously in this case an exception should have been made but I can see why neither wanted to.

Wait, since when is Tron Legacy “unfortunate”? There’s some janky bits (especially the early de-aging special effects, which were extremely uncanny valley), but it was widely regarded as a Good Movie. I’m disappointed Disney abandoned the third Tron and most of their other more daring stuff to focus on their giant IPs

Don’t think you can get the manual with the ‘Squatch package.

When they’re going to be trashing an antique vehicle, the one that actually gets thrashed is almost always a reconstructed replica, because that allows them to put in all the safety gear that makes the stunt survivable for the occupant without having to worry about the interior looking like the original.

Remote controlled as well. Everything on these cars was replaced with new so they were safe and drove (and stopped) The remote (stunt) driver controlled everything with hydraulics from his perch.

HOLY FUCKING YOSHIMURA.

The S54, S65, and S85 were wonderful, perfect engines with hot garbage rod bearings. Fortunately there is now a remedy.

This. Rather than spend money on Beefsquatch, I’d rather just hit up the junkyards later on and make the rig what I want it to be.
