Lol lets not act like white Americans in the North are any better, this is the reason why racism in America will never change because liberal white Americans in North act like they are different and less racist, which bs.

I dont think Kara is missing the point, as white person maybe you should listen to what Kara is saying.

Or we can be mad at both.

Yes because all of them did not vote last month, also lets not forget about the voter ID laws the Republican brought in some States.

BOOM drop mic... most of the show was live and only some of it was taped in advance..... loser troll

I am talking about UK not the US, it is sad the lack of support in the US because you should be able to make your own choices without being put in unnecessary dangers. I think the biggest change in the US would be the way midwives are trained.

The do have portable equipment to deal with most things and they would be able to get someone to a hospital very quickly, remember the UK is a lot less rural that the US and like i said they would not recommend or not prepare if you live to far away from hospitals. The amount of women that home births are around 2% ,

After the huge amount of support and money donated to Darren Wilson and all the other murderous cops i really do not feel hopeful , some white Americans do not care about us and i am finding it pretty annoying that the ones that are outraged are acting like this has not being on for years.

Then they would not recommend for you to have a home birth, also birthing are no different from hospitals.

And midwives would be trained to deal with it, if you are in far away from a hospital they will not recommend it.

Maybe i did miss the point but they never said anything positive about UK midwives (they didn't say anything positive), if they aiming it at US midwives they should said" i don't like US midwives" and still i think that they are being too harsh.

Here in the UK there were protests about Mike Brown, Tamir Rice and any other victims of police brutality in the US and UK (in London it brought out more than 2,000 people). There were also protests in Palestine, Mexico and other countries, the world is watching with outrage and confusion. We all problems with

They do.

In UK you get more support and advice than the US as explained in top thread, also the US not only has a higher infant mortality rate (when you do compare countries they do take into fact how countries report it differently) but they a higher maternal mortality rate. In Western countries they also go through

Midwives in the UK do have real medical training. the have the same amount of training as nurses do so if want to look down on UK midwives then can look down on your mum as well.

Mortality rates in the UK are not high compared to the US.

Midwives are trained to give you drugs, they have extensive training as nurses do.

The comments on this article are depressing obviously the propaganda against home births in the US has affected a lot of people views. Also a lot of people do understand NHS works including Jezebel.

They are not playing Russian Roulette with other people lives, 1) they are not forcing anyone to have a home birth 2) midwives receive extensive training more so any midwives in the US and they know exactly what do when it comes to pre-eclampsia 3) a surgeon will be close by or even in the same place in case anything

Midwifes in the UK are extensively trained more so midwives in the US, there will be a surgeon close by to assist in case anything goes wrong.
