Driving back to college at night in January, doing 70mph on I-80 in a massive snowstorm in a RWD, land-yacht 88 Olds. Watched 2 other drivers slide directly into snowbanks, still didn’t slow down, because I was young and therefore bulletproof. Only a damn miracle that I made it with all car parts attached, and now age

Hmm, I think you’re on to something. I’d just modify slightly to a lightly used Honda Fit with the motocompacto.

What?  The ST is very reliable.  I wouldn’t get a Fiesta with an auto, but the ST was stick shift only.

I see 3-4 of these rolling chrome dumpsters every day, and after a brief period right after launch where they were untouched, 75% of them are now wrapped...typically in black.

So, about two weeks then?

I love to spend $4,200 on making my car look exactly the same.

How is the answer not Miata?

$4,200 on making it look exactly the same.

That takes a special kind of stupid.

The next step is they’ll say that the Haitians are killing and eating the kids on school buses. I know RFK Jr. had brain worms and I’m pretty damn sure Trump does, and if someone still supports Trump they also have brain worms.

“Victor Orban says I’m the best President this country ever had.”

I don’t like giving Trump any serious review, on account of his being an awful trash person, but his description of how tariffs work is tooth-grinding. OF COURSE tariffs make goods more expensive to people in the purchasing country, because that’s what a Tariff does.

Latest is not updating at all.

FYI, the main page doesn’t show this article at all under the “Latest” tab. A bug?

Maybe its because I am in a bad mood today. Maybe its because I am now a middle aged male. I am not at company number 9 in my career. I spent well over two decades in the tech industry and now work at an older established financial firm. If I could retire today I would. None of the companies I worked for really care

FIRST GEAR: Ah yes, loyalty pledges. This is something that’s coming into vogue across industries. If people are deemed not sufficiently excited or enthusiastic, they’re viewed as low performers or disloyal and removed from the business. I’ve heard of this happening in tech companies already.

If implemented, it would apply to all vehicles weighing 10,000 pounds or less”
