Maybe it’s better to switch it up with a “Hey, did you happen to know that...” instead. It’s friendlier because it doesn’t immediately make the assumption that the other person doesn’t know.

I lost over 200 hours of Dark Souls 3 game save... My character was my best build yet. Unfortunately I didnt realise at the time that Steam did not Cloud Save my game... formatted my PC and whammy went to check on DS3 and all it said was “New Game”... I almost passed out.
