I mean, it WAS directed by Corey Yuen so the fight scenes were legit for the most part. It was also completely unashamed of just about every facet of its source material, and for that reason it contends for best videogame adaptation ever, IMO.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls. I left when they were being pursued by the breakdancing parkouring natives (or something like that).

Awful waffle! Awful waffle! Awful waffle!

I didn't even have to review the video to determine she must be from a Latin American local newscast. Of course, I reviewed anyway. Not exactly sure what the blooper was but not complaining.

Apt observations and a perfect explanation. I suppose I didn't process the line about seller's remorse any further beyond "whoa he's not using powers for this one". Binge watching dulls the details sometimes…

Did Kilgrave make the deal for the house without actually using his powers? It seemed like he was tempted to but held back for some reason.

I want to have Paget Brewster's babies

The first time I can consciously recall hearing this song was the cover version done by Uncle Tupelo (on the 89/93 Anthology… college began a convoluted journey away from radio pop for me)… talk about a totally different vibe!

Yeah I'm aware that's not the usual method but I just meant that on this pilot it seemed particularly stilted. I think there's room for improvement, especially as the actors settle into their roles, but something about the production just felt a little empty.

I'm so on board with this show if only because it totally embraces the retro-synth-wave aesthetic that's been burgeoning since 2008 or so. I'm a sucker for fat synth reverb and shimmering neon chrome.

Patrick Nagel.

If they use the classic bumpers, this will be on my TV as background noise like 24/7…

Oh man, ohhhhh man… In my excitement to share what is probably my favorite Mr. Show sketch, I totally flubbed with the goddamn actor that's even playing Lincoln in the clip! Apologies to both Tom Kenny and Jay Johnston. And the planet.

Let's get the hell outta here!

When MC Mom rode that beat change better than Jay-Z, I was totally in I-hope-the-neighbors-aren't-annoyed stitches.

I was just reading the avclub dissection of "Skin", a show which I remember absolutely nothing about, and got set off on a Point Pleasant reverie to the extent that I googled for any other mention of the show on avclub… and here I am, too!

I don't remember this show existing at all…. Which I guess is the point of this entire feature.

As much as I enjoyed the show at its peak (Episode 4 or 5? The Karen Reveal), I can't really disagree with the rating or review of the finale. It was just too… clean. Uninspired. Everything indeed just sort of worked out. Fred was the least effective booby trap ever. The tree-touching showdown was just not

I happened to watch the Channel 4 cut right before the AMC version. And man, AMC's cut leaves a lot to be desired. Pete actually comes across as a sympathetic character between his bouts of seething rage! I guess it's mostly just that stuff they cut down, but it seems pretty clearly done simply to squeeze in the
