I would just like to point out that apparently Judge Rosemarie Aquilina writes crime novels and we should all buy them

While I agree with you that judges should be composed and impartial, a biased judge is already potential grounds for appeal, so your concern sort of works itself out in The System. Here, Aquilina had a little more freedom to speak her mind because of the damning amount of evidence. That’s NOT theater. See her repeated…
“It was my honor and privilege to hear these survivors. It’s my honor to sentence you. You do not deserve to walk outside a prison again,” Aqulina said. After sentencing him, Aquilina said she never wanted Nassar to leave prison, and that he never would, telling him, “I just signed your death warrant.”
Assuming since he’s currently 54 he’ll live a max of about 40 more years, he will serve less than four months per victim.
I watched live at work (unwise) and this part had me screaming FUCK YOU over and over again at my computer. Luckily I work in media so no one noticed anything amiss.
Way to focus on the exact opposite of what you should be, dumbass. This judge had refused to talk to the media outside of court.
Aquilina for Supreme Court
Yep. The judge who is declining to speak with the media is doing it all for the media attention.
I hope he somehow lives to serve all 175 years and then dies immediately
Or just sit the fuck down and shut up.
“It’s my honor to sentence you.”
The prosecutor even admitted that I never belonged to any porn sites...was not on the dark web, and also, they could not prove I viewed it.
Ah, yes, the “dark web,” something all middle-age doctors know about for reasons besides being a pedophile.
I get that a serial child rapist is probably pretty empathy-deficient, but Jesus. Read the room.
This fucking guy. I love the judge; we need more like her at all levels...she makes me think of Ginsburg with that level of firebrand and refusal to accept accolades. It’s wonderful to see a judge finally giving victims of sexual assault some real, tangible justice.
What I did in the state cases was medical, not sexual
She then tore it up.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. The media is sensationalizing this. The [attorney general’s office] forced me to [plea guilty]. I was so manipulated by the AG, and now Aquilina, and all I wanted was to minimize stress to everyone.
I think I speak for most, when I say, “Fuck this fucking fuck.”.
