What could be more extreme than this? He raped an unconscious woman behind a dumpster in full view of eyewitnesses and got off with a slap on the wrist.

Maybe the goals of feminism and capitalism are inherently at odds and one needs to die (capitalism)?
It’s totally legal since Brock Turner was convicted for his crimes. If the charges had been dropped or if he had been exonerated, this might be more of a gray area as some (but not most) states have laws about how mugshots are allowed to be posted or published but that’s not the case here. There’s actually something…
To some degree. However, we are rapidly descending into 1984 levels of word absurdity. Not because an all powerful government is forcing us to, but because we do it to ourselves. I guess that’s the interesting twist to our story.
Just because you slap label and have a background that stated “feminist”, it doesn’t mean it Feminist.
If I may, I think it depends on where you live. I live in one of those mildly blue oases in a desert of red out in the West, and even here in the bluest parts of Redland, being openly feminist is apparently a radical act.
Almost like he’s proud of something.
Are you kidding with this bullshit. Rape’s not a competition, you know.
I’m so tired of people trying to minimize the violence of what he did to her. Like ramming his fingers inside of her isn’t rape.
When you’re a sociopath and you get away with a major crime, you tend to want everyone to know.
The victim in this case ended up with a vagina that was severely swollen and full of debris, so let’s not pretend this assault was any less “extreme” than a great many cases.
This is even more disturbing.
It doesn’t seem like you do, based on your comments here. You literally argued that Brock Turner is the definition of rape, because of what a student wrote in a facebook comment. That’s not how it works.
What do you mean? I’m not sure how illustrating one scenario as pretty clear cut example of rape would affect other victims?
You understand that what you quoted is simply a student’s comment, right? That student did not re-write the FBI’s legal definition of what rape is.
The case isn’t being used as the “definition of rape”.
I’d just like to point out that Brock Turner’s twitter account name is “realbrockturner” - which is, unreal.
Oh this may be the sweetest karma I’ve heard in a long, long time.
I’m concerned he won’t be able to get into a good college now.
awww... poor brock... this totally kills his chances of ever enjoying steaks again
