It is the Academic grading system as used by schools in the US. In the US a score of C is considered average, and anything under 50 is considered a poor showing. You are more thinking of rating systems like IQ; it is not a relative score ranking against everyone else, but rather a measure of how much the title

The post apocalyptic MMO Fallen Earth has hands down the largest most deserted continuous environment I have ever seen in a video game. One of the zones contains a 1/1 scale model of the grand canyon, and that is only 1 of 5 zones. Everywhere in the game that you can see you can go to.... with no load screens.

READING COMPREHENSION

Powers that put people to sleep is down to earth combat. Okay.

My kingdom for System Shock III.

Yeah, turns out no industry is recession proof.

Now playing

Wow, they really captured the look and feel of 90's era 1st gen 3d accelerated games. I mean look at Forsaken, which was perhaps the worst offender of the type of overproduced 3d effects for the sake of 3d effects; every scene has at least 5 different colored lights. The game becomes a rainbow hue of pixels...

Reviews don't really mean a game is good or bad, just the preference of the reviewer

You should work on your reading comprehension, as I never claimed the reason the game sucked was just because metacritic said so. By your own admission the game was not great, so it seems to me the metacritic score is spot on, but that is not what I based my opinion of the game on.

It just seems like Disney should use this opportunity to create its own in-house studio. It gives and saves them more money down the line. That's the problem with Disney, though. They hate being forward thinking. Better to play it safe and worry about tomorrow than next year

The Force Unleashed barely broke 70% on metacritic. That score puts it in the same category of games like Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Legends of Wrestlemania, and 50 Cent : Blood on the Sand.

Yeah sure there were lots of great SCUMM engine game. But has there been any great non starwars games from LA that are not 20 years old?

No love for LOOM? LOOM was the greatest LucasArts game ever...

It is bad enough that Rage was a demo of a game engine, but even worse seeing as how zenimax refuses to license that game engine to 3rd parties. ID has always made good tech demos that other 3rd party studios have turned into good games - Doom engine gave us hexen and strife, Quake engine gave us Half-Life, Quake 2

It's kind of a relief to read that, to be honest...though it does make me wonder what the point of permanent death is if even the developers go out of their way to not experience it!

I have always been preferential to Aion's armor designs. Sure there are plenty of 'sexy' armors in Aion, but then there are things like this, where male and female versions are almost exactly the same; no boob armor.

During the midnight release of Revenge of the Sith movie tie-in merchandise I had gone to pick up some stuff for my collection, and maybe some extras to resell on ebay.

It's not designed around appealing to the mass crowd of men who like shooting things with lots of guns, but is trying to tell a story. And that story, is a story about a man, with lots of guns, who shoots things... with... his... guns...

In what alternate universe is Bioshock Infinite not a big budget blockbuster shooter?! They spent 100 million USD creating it, and another 100 million USD advertising it.

From what I understand in TESO there are artifacts scattered through the land that you can find to give you permanent stat boosts as well as new skill lines, so exploring everywhere will be rewarded. Of course someone will make a map, just because someone made a map does not mean it is ruined for everyone else. You
