Star both for having one of the sweetest Jags (I still toy with the notion of owning one even though I love my XE) and for your fix.

Nuisance is a legal term. Also, you ask what makes me the arbiter? What makes you the arbiter? What gives you the right to tell me what to do with my property? I’d rather have DT as a neighbor than that hideous example I posted. It’s an assault on the senses and an affront to architecture! It’s a pretentious farce…
The difference is in what interferes with one’s right to quiet enjoyment of their property. Being bothered doesn’t matter, as much as suburban busybodies wish it did. Neighbor dogs barking are bothersome. So what? Neighbor dogs that prevent me from sleeping, on the other hand, pass from bothersome to nuisance.…
I dunno. I don’t use power tools when I’m wrenching on my stuff, and even impacts and the like aren’t real loud. Unless he’s got a crew over and being boisterous at 2:00 a.m., I can’t imagine that being louder than a big dog losing its mind because a bird flew over or something.
Alright, let’s take your examples one by one.
What the fuck are Three Percenters? Literally I had never heard of them until I saw your post, and the 30 seconds I spent on Wikipedia says they’re a far-right gun rights advocacy group. I dunno, maybe I just find other things to do with my time than trying to search out fringe political ideologies, but methinks the…
How do people find the time to not only know about random fringe ideologies, but demonstrate apparent recurring or perpetual outrage about them? I literally just had to google what you were even on about, and from what the Wiki says they’re just some far-right gun nuts. Whoopdie doo.
“if someone lived next door to you and had 40 rusting washing machines in their front lawn, would you call it in?”
Oh lord! Why not just wear a shirt that says that you’re a nosy busybody that wants to meddle in other peoples’ affairs? Unless you’re paying their notes and their taxes, it’s not your right to tell others what to do with their property. My neighbor has a derelict 40-foot catamaran parked alongside his house. …
“Problem is, throughout this ordeal DT hasn’t once wrote anything that indicates he realizes he has an issue.”
Yeah, wow, hellish. Yeesh, get a grip man! My neighbor has a derelict 40-foot catamaran parked alongside his house, covered with tattered blue tarps. When he was planning to bring it home about five years ago, he asked me if I had any objections.
I told him the same thing I tell everyone else: I don’t own your…
As it turned out, they had, but it was far less helpful than you’d think. I actually pulled mine, trying against hope to maybe get it working again. The touchscreen unit itself was dark translucent, and the CRT was a Zenith green-screen tube. The face of the tube did show faint burn-in from those buttons being…
Absolutely staggered that a) you didn’t talk about the CRT-based touchscreen control unit that controlled radio, climate, displayed gauges, and more, and that b) said CRT is still operational. Like, you have no idea how huge it is that the CRT is still operational.
The XE drives better than the contemporary 3-Series. Maybe the 3-Series from 20 years ago drove better, but these days BMW is just a realtor’s car.
I dunno. I’m 38 and on my third Jag. Ran my last one down Tail of the Dragon, trying my best to keep up with an experienced rider on a Ducati and managing it for about a mile. Looking forward to giving this one the same treatment.
I’m on my 3rd Jag now, this one an XE with AWD and the supercharged V6. They’ve all been fine cars, and I can absolutely see myself buying another Jag in the future.
The days of Lucas Electrics have been gone since the ‘80s. Give it a rest! I’m on my 3rd Jag now, this one an XE, and it’s been solid so far. The previous two were also fine cars. Nary an electrical problem. Actually nary any real problems at all.
I’m sad that the sales haven’t been all that great, because it’s a really great car. I have one. It’s a fantastic car, and it was very well-reviewed by about everyone when it came out. It’s pretty, plenty fast with the supercharged V6, handles superbly, and is pretty comfortable on long drives. I had several cars I’d…
Inconsiderate? How? Those people aren’t paying the taxes on the property, the note on the property, or anything else for the property. The cars presumably are not emitting noxious fumes or physically parked on their properties or making deafening noises. Quite the opposite, in fact.
But muh property values!
