I got a big sense of deja vu...

Well, without anyone around, the Mona Lisa is just matter.

Yes, but I'm not interested in the specifics. If you like, take Chik-Fil-A firing a pro-homosexual marriage employee. What ethical basis does a place of employment have to fire a person who expresses speech (outside of the workplace) that the company disagrees with?

Strategy: kill everything. DONE

Eh, I take all those articles of research studies with a grain of salt or read them thoroughly to understand exactly what it's about. News articles tend to remove the nuance of the research.

Don't forget there's also stabbin' dudes in the face!

I'm a programmer, though inexperienced in game programming, but I did write a few simple games with XNA and Xcode/iOS and I've got a bit of experience with shading algorithms. What are you guys creating the game in? XNA? Unity? Unreal Dev Kit?

I'm curious to read your rationale. Why does Citibank have the right to fire a person for protesting at OccupyWallStreet?

I'm always skeptical of one person believing that everyone else (or a majority of everyone else) is somehow wrong. Right or wrong, people believe what they believe, but the real question is how do you get something accomplished in this kind of environment?

Wow, this is pretty neat!

If I implied that, I apologize. I don't believe that employees should use company time to protest, but I also don't believe that companies have the right to fire their employees based on what they do on their own time. That seems like a fair balance to me.

Because for a a lot of people, it's not just about jobs. A lot of people are protesting the unfair influence that big corporations have on government, which is not necessarily related to their specific jobs.

Yeah, I tend to agree. Neal Stephenson said the same, though he took it further and suggested that sci-fi should also encourage long-term thinking and innovation in the face of today's insistence on short-term gains. Here's the really good end quote:

I think that's true, though I'd argue more indie devs are working on exactly the kind of game they want to make. I've been dealing with this personally; whether or not I join a big company, have a stable job and do what I love, but have to disregard the impact (of lack thereof) my effort is going towards. I not only

For a fellow computer science major, the basics are literally the fundamentals of programming and are the most important part. I started off with C, which is hellish because you have to manually manage memory and there's no fancy stuff like object-orientation or simple creation of custom variables. It was good though

Wait, wait, wait. 300 Mb/s? Holy mother of God, that's faster than my hard drive.

Only what needed to be done, friend.

Wow, that has an awesome Bastion feel to it.

No, and personally, I like her face more than her figure. Also, everything up to this point gives me hope they'll make her an awesome character, I just hope the gameplay will also be up to snuff.

I love me some good orchestra video game music.
