...Speaking of new lows, I'm done with this site. In fact, all of Gawker. It was a combination of the layout change, ads shoved in my face, and rapidly degenerating content that put me over the edge. It was fun while it lasted. Adieu, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, io9, Kotaku, and Engadget. Goodbye, everyone.

I sat in on a MIT entry-level Java class one time, and this was pretty much what happened. Same as at Carnegie-Mellon. Srsly, guys?

Isn't all of the water on Earth the same age? I mean, what with the big bang and stuff, nearly all of the matter in the universe was created at the same time.

Pylons. Construct more pylons.

In other news, Sheikhhasan is outraged to find out that minors are able to buy vanilla extract, which contains at least 35% alcohol by law in the United States.

Perhaps the extract of coca not stripped of cocaine?

My vote is for Half-Life (entire series).

Star here, please. Props on the Hitchhiker's reference.

"The sound of one hand clapping"

Agreed. I like the layout, but can we please put the ads on the sides of the page where they belong instead of where the articles are supposed to go?

Previously:

@Coyote: Yes, this would be ideal.

@TheBobmanNH: This was supposed to be satire of the act of reading other people's profiles and using this information to real-life use. I guess I wasn't explicit enough in my humor.

So, I am not allowed to scrape information from other people's profiles by reading them and putting this information to private use and benefit? That sucks.

Is this diagram to scale?

You know, even if this is a thermos, it would be really neat to start making Al cans out of plastics. Actually, not really at all. Al is easily more recyclable than any plastic, and one of the perks of Al cans is that they are not biodegradable. It makes for longer storage life.

Bah, who uses solid-state pencils anymore?

@Grieve: See entry: Free market system. Movies/music/software/other things are only so expensive because people are willing to pay so much for them. So, in that sense you are completely wrong.

Is that a Pac-Man imprint that I see?

This is almost as silly as that guy who could abduct people at a moment's notice, Candlej—-
