Actually it is a moon. Any time a celestial object begins orbiting a planet, it is by definition a moon. Even if that object only sticks around for a few rotations.

I don't think you understood what I said. You're eliminating one of the holding bins for your images rather than having two redundant spots for your images. Then enabling the one remaining bin to do both functions. When you take a picture it gets stored on the phone, and in the cloud. You can delete a photo and when…
Since the only difference between photo stream and the camera roll is that photo stream uploads your stuff to the cloud on it's own, why not just eliminate camera roll all together!? That's the most obvious UX change I could see that would easily fix the problem and I'm really shocked they didn't think of it.
Instead he should be trying to fund a Thorium reactor here.
I was actually surprised it took them this long to make a link to it prominent from all google accounts. However I use their business apps, and rely on them daily. Right now when I access Gmail, the black bar shows me links to documents, calendar, sites, groups, and contacts. All things that I actually use on a…
And wasn't there just an article here recently that the next iphone would probably return to a summer release?
As usually a company takes a step forward with a redesign, and then 2 steps back when they start changing shit. This isn't to make anything easier whatsoever, the black bar is perfectly usable, and looks great. But its limited to what they can fit in the bar while keeping it looking great. Removing it and adding a…
Yeah it's really frustrating. I absolutely hate anything having to do with Cablevision. The monopoly they've held on Long Island for all this time is completely ridiculous, and their service is crap. I'd be lucky to run at 40% of the internet speeds I was paying for with Optimum. But with Fios, I usually get a few…
I live in Brookhaven, and we do actually have internet and phone. I've had Verizon Fios internet for about 2.5 years, and phone for 2 years. Just waiting on TV. And last I heard, Cablevision has been pulling some strings on Brookhaven's board, preventing Fios from getting the permit to flip on the internet switch. A…
I'm stuck in such a shitty position, had to rant about it. 2 years ago I switched from crappy Cablevision to Verizon Fios and haven't looked back since. Unfortunately, Fios TV was the one service not available in my area but the sales guy assured me it would be up and running in under 2 months. It's been 24 and I'm…
Doesn't work if the terrorist is reading Giz and sees this article :).
In the video, the guy John Kutsch sounds exactly like Seth Rogan.
I think it's the modern day equivalent of the myth that if you find a mouse in your home you need to bring it at least 1 mile away or it'll find it's way back.
Oh good catch, I read that wrong. Missed the "video and stills" part of the text. Thanks! And I'd like to know what you do for a living, that's one pretty heft whim! Best of luck with it, even if it's not what I hoped it would be, it's still gotta be a killer camera!
I never have any issues with 1080, I regularly playback 2K and sometimes 4K videos easily. I think it's a flash player issue for me.
Is this thing all jittery for anyone else?
Yep that happened to everyone it seems. I was watching the site for the last 2 minutes. Clicked buy now within 1/10th of a second after it went live and got a "added to cart" message. But it's not in the cart. Did it 4 more times since then and still no luck. I called their support main line since their HQ is about 10…
Add to this the fact that they're now shelling out millions of dollars on original content via YouTube, and it wouldn't surprise me if they tossed some sort of GoogleTV access to these YouTube based networks. Time to move to Kansas City. Living in NY is too expensive anyway :P
Facts are a bit wrong. It's not "up from 3K in 2008". That resolution never existed and was just a spec announcement that took ages to materialize. Also when it was announced, it was supposed to be priced in the $3,000 - $4,000 range. In actuality, it's base is $10K and you can't do anything with it. You'll need at…
Oh thanks! The last time I looked into one, it was when Hackintoshing was relatively new. Each build I found was very limited. Yes you'd be running OS X on a PC build, but seemed like it was only geared toward low level users. I'd like to get something on par with the Mac Pro at a third of the cost.
