The article is comparing the mechanics of a 10+ year old game which is still around with a new ones from the same genre. The article isn't about changing wow it is completely about how much further the genre has gone past it and how archaic the systems feel in comparison.

Sega has been out of it for 2 decades. SegaCD, Game Gear, Saturn, Dreamcast, Sonic Series. Sega hasn't been able to properly market a product since the Genesis.

I would buy this just to beat people up with Aquaman. That has to be the worst insult you could possibly dish out in a game.
