Nobody would question the prices at all if the 60kw battery was genuinely 60kw.

You seem blissfully unaware that this is common practice in every form of manufacturing. It provides choice for the consumer but then provides funding for development.

No your paying for a 60kw battery but getting 75kw with 15 reserved for when you can afford it. But then your in dire need and they let you have the extra anyway.

Yeah good example. Imagine you buy a 6 cylinder dodge for 1000's cheaper and then later can upgrade without going to the expense of swapping out the whole engineblock drivetrain etc etc.

If tesla had made the battery actually 60kw and charged the same for it people would be happy? Even though they then didn’t have a cheap upgrade option available later?
