This is why I like the Insurgency games. Highly realistic, including ammo count. In the lastest one, Insurgency Sandstorm, you have the option of a slow reload, which will keep the magazine and whatever ammo is left in it to use late, or a quick reload, which tosses the entire magazine.

My friend's and I enjoy is significantly more than Wildlands. Only thing that really needs to be done is bug fixing and optimization. The promise of added content is a welcome one, and while it's got it's issues, it's far from the mess you've described it as.
