Yes that seems to be the ongoing argument about the movie, one camp views it as a movie about the horrors of war, and another about a brother who lost his sister due to his pride and ignorance.

He was treated just freakin’ fine. All they asked of him was to sell her dress for rice, because you can’t eat a dress, and to like do something, anything constructive. He lied around reading comics and complained. He wouldn’t even clean his own dishes he used to eat on. 

“Hey can you like clean up or do something around the house? My husband and daughter both work and contribute...”

I found Grave of the Fireflies to be one of the worst movies I have seen this year.

I watched it a few months back and found it to be just terrible.

I generally lean to the right politically. I’m a well off upper middle class college educated STEM straight white guy who does not live on the coast, who’s life could only get better if I find out I had a rich uncle who left me in his will when he died.

The money itself isn’t the problem, its more like the time. I am not a “its not the destination, its the journey” kind of guy. I spent 100 hours in MGS5 and was beyond pissed with how it ended. 100 hours in Skyrim and stopped because nothing in it really mattered. Mass Effect series, Farcry series, Boarderlands, etc…

As I get older I find that I play games less, and watch TV and read more. I don’t know if its because im getting older (I’m 30) or my tastes change. But I’m finding less and less games, that once I’m done playing, I look back and go “I’m glad I spent my time doing that.”

Because thats what the market says they are worth?
