    It’s important to note that hospital have policies that even their doctors must follow. “If you have a patient with such and such and they present with such and such then you must do such and such.” For example it may be hospital policy to do a C section if certain signs of distress present. This isn’t doctors not

    IF you VOLUNTARILY go to the hospital to give birth, VOLUNTARILY sign the forms giving them permission to treat you and bill you, VOLUNTARILY go to the delivery room... you’ve kind of given consent for a doctor to help you give birth.

    This is a tough call. It really depends on the mothers state of mind at the time. If she was oriented enough to make a logical decision the doctor should have handed her an AMA (against medical advice) form and let the chips fall where they may. If she lost the child or her own life she would have no one to blame but
