There are quite a few anime that doesn't have the most continuous plot but can evoke that Mushishi feel. Kino's Journey, Aria and several others can do it masterfully.

MuShiShi is probably the golden standard in this. It's a 26 episode series where there is precisely zero connection between episodes and only, at best, inferred development of the main character. But it will make you feel like very few other series will.
Like many others have mentioned...I gave up anime a long time ago because I got tired of the fan service and down right goofiness that seems to run rampant these days. It doesn't seem like character development is a big issue for anime anymore, and Attack on Titan is a perfect example of this. The only real thing…
I am saddened by no Eccentric Family.
I appreciate smaller games. By trying to do fewer things, these games can do a greater percentage of things well. Advance Wars. Portal. Tetris. Few frills. Fewer flaws.
Thanks for posting that. I found that hilarious. I could sympathise with the disbelief on Brooker's face as well haha.
I missed that, but Charlie's tweets on the matter were fairly amusing, showing a clip from the upcoming episode to counter Snow's 'real LEGO' point.

I would recommend Space Brothers (30 year old man applying to be an astronaut in the footsteps of his astronaut younger brother), Psycho-Pass (minority report + blade runner), Spice and Wolf (medieval merchant economics),…
Yeah, I remember aiming for those scores as well. I just quickly lost interest in the score system in DoR and I suppose people who followed the scene more loyally know the science behind it why. I just knew it was more hassle than it was worth. I'm glad to hear it wasn't just a gut feeling on my part.
Yeah, War Room definitely was a huge draw and I was surprised they didn't have that. I also decided to completely ignore the scoring system and that probably helped me in the long run. There's definitely stuff missing from the older series, I agree.
IMO the quality of gameplay reached new heights with Days of Ruin. Just something about the balance of the game just felt right. I do agree I miss the lighthearted cartoony feel though. Maybe they can release a sequel in the vein of DoR and also have sequels catering to the cartoony universe as well. I don't think…
As we continue through October, we have come to the end of the summer season and are beginning the fall one. But…
