Same here. Haven’t played Overwatch in a few months and just looking at that skin it doesn’t look all that special.

Well, seeing as I had no clue the skin had an alternate effect on her abilities, maybe they should advertise that more?
This sentence sounds like it was written by a man who wants us to be impressed because he knows a bunch of big words...
Did you really just say that. Metric is literally the standard EVERYWHERE professionally and almost everywhere (world wide). IT, Science, Medical, Military, etc all use metric as their standard unit of measurement, the only place that doesn’t use metric measurements are we, the Americans.
I’ve got to ask, why are they targeting this one specifically?
I had a quick look at the site. The game is free, but the author is soliciting for “donations”. So, he is receiving money for IP that’s not his. http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php/topic,6016.0.html
From what I had seen, it actually asks you to donate to the creators on launch, which is generally a big no-no.
I imagine it has a lot to do with the creator’s Kickstarter for a “spiritual sequel.”
Not even that. All the letter demands is that they stop calling it Doom and referring to the Doom trademark. They didn’t complain about any art or assets. This is in no way a “shut down” notice, unless you consider having to change the URL (a very poor decision to use that one imo) as equivalent to shutting down.
Probably the Kickstarter. Shutdown notices almost always follow releases or promotions. A lot of these companies generally overlook anything that’s even halfway plausibly fair use for as long as they can, even if they’re keeping tabs on it.

I, for one, applaud Ms. Hornbeck’s stance. But it got me thinking, what about other areas? There sure is a lot of rape and objectifying women in the Greek myths. Can’t we scrub those clean of the distasteful parts before presenting them? I mean, the gods themselves would come down from Olympus and get all rapey with…
I’ll admit - I had every intention of trying it out, but then saw it was still $60. It sounds fun, but not potentially-fuck-up-my-budget-for-the-next-couple-weeks fun
This whole plan never really made sense to me. They spun it as a way for new players to try the game, but it’s not like it was made free or anything so there wasn’t really an incentive to go out and buy the game. It’s like if you have a group of friends and you all decide you want to have more people in your group,…
To be frank, Niantic has been pushing updates that hurt the game since its inception. No rooted devices, no map, no radar...
I get where they are coming from, but this is definitely gonna hurt the game, a lot. In Japan you could argue that a large portion (if not the majority) of people only play those games during commute.
I can’t testify as to Sylvester’s personal beliefs (and I have not played the game), but as a newbie programmer I do agree with him on the defense of his code: the name of variables (the objects that hold numbers and values in code, that in this case decide the sexuality of a character in the game) mean very little in…
Well I guess No Man’s Sky will have to be taken down or significantly changed then because they’re still using all of the “preview” media of stuff that never made it into the game instead of actual screenshots.
Exactly. Sometimes gameplay trailers can even make me more hyped.
While we’re at it, how about requiring at least one of the video trailers to have actual gameplay.
