You're not factoring in licensing costs, design costs, royalties, the artist who created the first mould etc.

I have read that since and that goes some way to at least making it a slightly more worthwhile addition, but all of them having different ones when they apparently have so many though? I am doubtful.

I'm not saying specifically that making more costumes will affect their workload, being that gameplay designers / coders are separate from artists and animators. I just find it a very common issue that gameplay / story quality goes hand in hand with the opposite of graphical fidelity.

Quite a few of them seemed to be from previous entries in the series to me, but then again that is a small proportion to the amount they are apparently quoting are in the game, sure.

Are these really aimed at kids though? They seem more like collectors items for grown adults.

But they're all variations on previous characters (hence unimaginative), dull and half-arsed because none of them seem to embody or suit the character in any way, shape or form.

I don't have a vendetta against 13, in fact I own 13 and 13-2 and special edition guides for the hardcover and artwork. They weren't perfect games but I enjoyed them just as well.

Fanservice, sure, but this seems pretty dull, unimaginative and half-arsed.

Is this really what the FF series has been reduced to? *shakes head*

It has nothing to do with the fact that these are stunning quality figures that are very marketable nope.

Perhaps because they're based off of the same idea:

Old joke, but you still got a chuckle out of me, well played sir.

I think you stole his lines :D

Yea, having had quite a few replies it seems this is far more common that I was initially aware of, I've lived a sheltered life it seems haha.

It is sad, I suppose there may possibly be a valid arguement for such a thing, but honestly I prefer to think of my race as human rather than "white" so the only downside in my eyes is a loss of diversity, if anything.

It's most certainly interesting to see these kind of variations, especially with siblings, you would think based on recessive genes and such that one would just win out most of the time, but then nature is constantly screwing with our understanding of it :)

Now playing

Perhaps you should :P people often misquote it as "Can't we all just get along?" which it is not.

Just what I was thinking, that needs to be spread everywhere :)

Fair enough, I am indeed white so I guess that's true, I actually didn't realise white babies from mixed race couples happened so often. Genetics really are crazy things.

Slightly off topic but have you ever noticed that white people seem to be the "blank slate" recessive gene for skin pigment? Every time there's mixed race parents and one is white the child is usually more towards the other skin colour, one day white people may become extinct :O
