I don’t agree with everything War Is Boring puts out there but David is a good reporter for the most part. The post that went up recently about the F-35 being a shitty BVR fighter using Airpower Australia I was not a fan of. I am going to do a post on reporting on the F-35 and all the bullshit that is out there.

I just cancelled my War is Boring premium membership because I cannot take this story any more. Tyler is less biased than David Axe and crew but both fail to recognize how much aerial warfare has changed since the 1960’s.

If battlefield 4 has taught me anything then all they need is a whole lot of

What, that the US spends less than 4 percent of its GDP on defense?

That’s easily the most selectively bogus pie charts I’ve seen. SS and medicare are “discretionary” too, if you just amend the law.

1970s planes. A models, too.

Honestly, my guess is that these aren’t even meant to go offroad. Likely more along the lines of urban combat or domestic ‘pacification’.

MADs are not that effective to begin with against modern submarines and if needed their is a plan to develop drones launched from the p-8. Using India in ANY way as an example to follow on defense procurement decisions is ludicrous, they are in a league of their own.

Let’s just bring this outstanding work up out of the grey.

The two pennets are Unit awards giving to the crew of the submarine.

My dad still says “Sounded like... an explosion.” whenever either of us rips a massive fart.

CAREFUL! Glass houses are not cheap!

A professor of mine in college was working on the structural design of the propellers for some Navy grants. Some wicked stuff came out of the aerodynamic analysis.

“Research”, or throw everything at the wall and see what noodles stick.

I’ve got no smart assed responses, no critiques. Encyclopedic piece, and I like it. Thx

10. Movies like The Hunt for Red October and Crimson Tide look so real but are full of holes. If you want to know what it’s like on a submarine watch Down Periscope. I knew every character in that movie in real life.

Well clearly you are an expert, so everyone should be regarding your shitbox opinion of a vehicle that its operators (USMC and USAF) actually love.

Lets hear your professional opinion of the CH-53

Yeah, versus the absolutely perfect safety record of other Navy helicopters.

I feel for the kid. You may have lost your life, but now you gained your wings. Ones that will never fail.
