Interesting links. I was going more with the USMS oath which, similar to the Uniformed Service Officer’s Oath, is pretty clear WRT to where final allegiances should be.

It has nothing to do with Trump, it’s by design. A website is meaningless. The responsibility of the OGE is simply to write guidelines, provide recommendations, and monitor. They’re not a “force” of any kind. And no, Trump can’t get people to just ignore court rulings. That’s why we have the US Federal Marshalls.…

I’m not sure that the justice department would be the ones to act here. The OGE makes policies for the executive branch. They’re more of an oversight office. Any ruling from their office would probably end up in the Judicial Branch for legal action.

I thought the ballpoint pen trick only worked with the smaller plastic toothed zippers. My understanding is that the brass looking ones are much less susceptible to tampering. Not that there’s a huge market of luggage with those types of zippers.

Another bonus to the push up is all of the other muscle groups that benefit. You’ve got a lot of muscles in isometric tension when you’re doing a push up with proper form.

Absolutely not easier. No dept or agency is under a closer regulatory eye than the DoD. The Defense Supplement to the Federal Acquisition Regulations is bigger then all others combined (for good reason). None of this is to say that there isn’t tons of waste, but the bureaucracy within the DoD is astronomical.
