@xamenek: Gas too. If you want a real wok and wok heat you have to buy one of those special burners. Gas stoves do not get hot enough either. I have one with a special fifth "powerful" burner but it still does not create the correct amount of heat.

On a typical American stove, you'll never get the heat hot enough to do actual stir-frying with a wok anyway, so just get a cheap one.

As an asian person, I have never, EVER understood why white people wear their shoes inside the house. You walk around outside, through dog crap, people spit, and homeless man urine, then you track it through your house? Disgusting.
