Blame the real estate pro forma. Buildings are throw-away assets that only need to last during the initial 10 year run when equity investors are paid back their principal. And you can only build a building as nice as its neighbors, even if people would pay more for a nicer building not present in that market.

I worked there from 1999-2002 and it was an amusingly-disjointed building to work in. The route from Point A to Point B often took you through Points C, D, E, F, and G.

This facility was most recently used by DaimlerChrysler as JTE (Jeep Truck Engineering). Kind of cool that Jeeps were engineered there for a LONG time, under both AMC and Chrysler (then DaimlerChrysler). They did a pretty reasonable job maintaining the facility, and happily acknowledging its history. At the time, CTC

Duggan can fuck off. So many interesting and beautiful old buildings going to waste in the city. History gone and useful buildings bulldozed.

Agreed, this could easily be converted into a loft or warehouse style apartment and retail block.  Lord knows it was likely built before the concept of planned obsolescence was normalized and will probably last another 100 years with minimal maintenance.

“Hudson and Nash stayed afloat until the company killed off the names, replacing those badges with the AMC label.”

I think we should all chip in and buy this property for David Tracy to store his Jeep collection and start a museum.

When looking at the airplane locations and headings, they don’t make sense:

This is only about the 1,000th video I’ve seen of an SUV flipping like an empty soda can. But please, SUV owners, tell me again how your car is “safer”.

It seems to be the case that this guy is at fault for negligence, and should be serving time and never driving a rig again, but that doesn’t meat the point about minimum sentences is invalid. They are bullshit.

King has stated that prosecutors attempted to negotiate a plea deal with Aguilera-Mederos, but he “declined to consider anything other than a traffic ticket,”

Minimum sentences are bullshit. They almost exclusively target the common man and let those with high powered lawyers get away with a plea deal.

Having worked in factories, I have BOTH respect and loathing for factory workers.

Once again the age old lesson bites someone in the ass: No title? No cash transfers hands.

Did... did you work in a cartoon?

Seems like funny wording. “When the car was built, we used a battery pack that was made in 2017" is how I read it anyway.

I think these are likely batteries they had in storage for replacements when needed and now they want to get rid of them so they can just have one sku.

If you’re the type of person who reads the fine print perhaps you don’t deserve to own a Tesla.

Holy shit, child rapists, murderers and other far more horrible people get far less time than this.  Did this guy fuck up and deserve to go to jail?  Certainly.  Does he deserve 110 years, not even close.  Total failure of the system here so far.

I would’ve slapped it to the bottom of an Amazon delivery truck  or even better yet a semi that was from out of state.
