I’m impressed that the body of the vehicle held up that well after rolling 30 yards off the road.

No such thing as bad PR

Does it not seem pointless to spend hundreds of billions of dollars developing an entirely unique vehicle to just...deliver mail? Would it not make way sense to just tell Ford to import RHD cutaway Transit’s and put a big ass box on the back? I know the answer is so the US government can continue to subsidise the

Great hammer of thor that windshield! I love it. I mean it’s going to be rockchip bait in a big way, but I love it.

Yes, but he was talking about brand tiers. Goodyear owns Dunlop, Michelin owns BF, Continental owns General, etc.

This is the version I'd want if I was spending over $100k on an electric Porsche for some reason.

Counterpoint: The world will be a little better with the Cross Turismo. If anyone can make long roofs cool again to the general public, it’s Porsche.

Gotta support the shaft and pay attention to the balls

I had a ‘13 Xterra Pro4x (with manual!) and it was a terrific vehicle.  The interior was made of melted Fisher Price toys, but well put together.  The worst part was the fuel economy.

I’ve owned 2 recent model Triumph triples. A Daytona 675 and a Speed Triple.

You didn’t even hit on disasters that constrain production, supply, or transport as able to drive up prices. Hurricanes on the Gulf Coast, drilling rig explosions or leaks(like in the Gulf), pipeline explosions(like in my state with some Gulf Coast where we had the Colonial pipeline go boom locally and stations ran

That kind of thinking has always baffled me.

Just completed 25 years of ownership of my small, 2WD, 4-banger, bench seat 5 speed manual Tacoma. I bought it 1 week after graduating high school. It was the cheapest truck on the lot. Anyway... a move across country, numerous girlfriends, then getting married, buying a house, 8 jobs later, a climb in the career

So, are you an accountant or an engineer?

Can’t say this is very shocking. People that buy Priuses are either people that care about the environment and don’t want to be wasteful, or are people that really don’t care about cars/image, often both.

I’m guessing that our friend the Hater doesn’t know Jalopnik exists but I like to imagine him incorporating all this into his (flat)world view... now let me get back to that autofellatio.

I’m thinking this jackass is one of those mofos that invaded the Capitol last Wednesday.  does anyone have his name and picture?

Good to see that Subaru is pro-active on protecting its Legacy. I wish they would take the Liberty to do that here in Australia where they have Imprezzed everyone from the Brats of the Outback to the Justy Brumbies and Foresters that Crosstrek the Ascents.

We do know what’s at stake here - this is Ford’s moneymaker by a moonshot. What we don’t know is what’s actually being accomplished here. Is this Ford botching another launch because they care more about making their dealers happy than potential problems down the road? Or are they doing everything they have to do -
